Warranties

Team Makoba, the pen shop, ensures that all the ordered products are dispatched with great care to the delivery addresses. Our office in Chennai ensures that all the products and luxury gifts undergo stringent quality inspection before dispatch.

Do not accept the parcel if you notice any visible marks of tampering / Damage to the packaging / Broken / partly open.

Warranties for various products sold by Makoba are governed directly by the existing warranty policies by the respective Brands & Manufacturers.

Under no circumstances, we dispatch a defective product. If in case, you receive a product with a manufacturing defect, please contact us immediately, so that we can take appropriate action. We are committed to provide all the required support to help you sort out the concerns.

Warranties generally cover manufacturing defects of the product, but will not be borne because of Mis-use or, mis-handling of the product. Warranties usually do not cover the covering or outside coating on the products, unless specifically mentioned.

The dispatched products usually have a warranty card included, wherever applicable. If you have received a product without one, please bring contact us and let us know immediately. 

Write to us at info@makoba.com for any warranty issues. Provide all the details of the product bought from the pen store, including the invoice number and the issue faced with the product.

 All original documents / invoices are must for any warranty claim.

Please note - All Service related issues, all courier charges, Insurance charges, as and when applicable would be borne by the customer.

 

Davidoff Warrantees and Repairs

Davidoff of Switzerland" a company belonging to "ZD - Luxury Watches & Accessories ltd, will repair or replace any Davidoff, AVO, Zino or Griffin's accessories that are found to be defective due to a manufacturing defect at no cost, excluding shipping and customs duties.

In regard to products that we sell but do not manufacture, the sole warranty offered is the original manufacturer’s warranty and Davidoff expressly disclaims any warranty, express or implied, with respect to such products.

Lamy International Guarantee

Lamy guarantees that our products will be repaired at no charge in case of possible flaws in material or workmanship during a period of 2 years from the date of purchase – except for damage from improper use or normal wear.

Parker Warranty - INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY

This warranty is granted by

PARKER and applies in all countries other than the US and Canada, where a separate warranty applies.

Your PARKER® writing instrument is guaranteed for two years from the date of original purchase against defects in materials or workmanship. If found to be defective, within the warranty period, your PARKER® product will be repaired or replaced free of charge.

Waterman Warranty

This warranty is granted by WATERMAN and applies in all countries other than the USand Canada, where a separate warranty applies. Your WATERMAN® writing instrument is guaranteed for three years from the date of original purchase against defects in materials or workmanship. If found to be defective, within the warranty period, your WATERMAN® product will be repaired or replaced free of charge. This warranty may be extended by registering your WATERMAN® writing instrument at www.waterman.com .

 This warranty does not cover routine maintenance, or damage resulting from the failure to maintain the product in accordance with instructions provided by WATERMAN.

 This warranty also does not cover ordinary wear and tear arising from use of the product,or damage that may arise from accidental or intentional misuse or abuse, alteration or customization, or repair by unauthorized persons. This warranty also does not cover damage that is caused by the use of inks or refills other than those made by WATERMAN 

Except as provided herein and to the extent permitted by law, WATERMAN makes no other warranties, express or implied, and WATERMAN specifically excludes warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. WATERMAN’s liability under this warranty shall be limited to repair or replacement of the writing instrument and WATERMAN shall not be responsible under this warranty for any damages and/or incidental or consequential damages, whether or not foreseeable, unless such damages result from the willful act or omission, or gross negligence, of WATERMAN. Other rights and remedies controlled by applicable law are preserved.

Some products may be out of production or may be unable to be repaired. In that circumstance,

WATERMAN reserves the right to substitute a product of comparable value and style. For service under this warranty, please return your pen to any authorized WATERMAN service centre, along with the original guarantee certificate duly completed by an authorized dealer (or proof of purchase, such as a dated receipt showing the purchase of the product claimed).

This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights as amatter of law which vary from state to state and country to country and which are unaffected by this warranty, including (but not limited to) the legal warranties covering any consequences of defects whether or not visible in the product.

Porsche Design Warranty

Porsche Design pens are guaranteed against failures due to faulty materials or workmanship for one year. If found to be defective, your pen will be repaired or replaced when returned to Porsche Design.

Cross Writing Instruments Full Perpetual Warranty Guarantee
All Cross writing instruments and desk set penholder mechanisms are unquestionably guaranteed against mechanical failure, regardless of age. Any Cross product or part requiring service under this warranty will be repaired or replaced at no charge when it is sent to us via an official Cross sales outlet (postage and insurance are the responsibility of the consumer, and shipping and handling fees may apply). Any such product that is no longer in production and cannot be repaired will be replaced with a comparable Cross product. Leads, erasers, ink cartridges and stylus tips exhausted in the course of normal use, and emblems and other customised adornments, are excluded from this warranty; also excluded are fountain pen nibs and other parts damaged from impact, unreasonable use or obvious abuse. The Cross guarantee extends our assurance of a lifetime of writing pleasure to every owner of a Cross writing instrument. 

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from country to country or jurisdiction to jurisdiction. 

Warning: Pen caps can obstruct breathing. Keep out of mouth. This product in not intended for children.

Applicable to stylus tips: In no event shall Cross be liable for incidental or consequential damages of any kind or character including, without limitation, physical damage to the surface of personal digital assistants or hand-held PCs. Some countries and jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusions may not apply to you.

Sheaffer Limited Lifetime Warranty 

This Sheaffer¨ writing instrument is guaranteed against mechanical failure due to original factory defects in materials and workmanship, for the lifetime of its first owner. Should such failure occur, please return the complete instrument to the nearest authorized Sheaffer Service Retailer with proof of first ownership. It will be repaired or exchanged for one of comparable value, free of charge. This warranty does not cover loss, accidental damage, misuse or abuse. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights, which vary from state to state or country to country.

-Sheaffer Limited 3 Year Warranty

This Sheaffer writing instrument is warranted against mechanical failure due to defects in material or workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the date of purchase from an authorized Sheaffer Retailer. Should such mechanical failure occur, please return the complete writing instrument with proof of original purchase to an authorized Sheaffer Service Center and Sheaffer will repair the writing instrument. If a repair is not possible in a reasonable period of time, Sheaffer will exchange the writing instrument for one of comparable value.

This three (3) year warranty is only valid with proof of original purchase and does not cover loss, accidental damage, misuse, reasonable wear and tear, or abuse such as improper use and care. This warranty may be transferred. Sheaffer is not responsible for lost or misdirected mail. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have other rights which may vary from state to state, province to province, or country to country.

-Sheaffer Limited 1 Year Warranty

For a period of one year from the date of purchase, Sheaffer will repair or replace, at its option, this writing instrument, free of charge, if it has a mechanical failure due to defect in material or workmanship. This warranty does not cover loss, accidental damage, reasonable wear and tear, misuse, or abuse such as improper use and care. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that may vary from state to state or country to country.

Visconti warranty

Visconti pens are synonymous with style, innovation and quality.             

Each Visconti pen comes with our manufacturer warranty and is covered between 2 years and a lifetime, depending on the pen type purchased.

The warranty covers all mechanical defects. Of course from time to time               repairs will be necessary.

Any further claim against TISSOT S.A. e.g. for damages additional to the above described warranty is expressly excluded, except mandatory statutory rights the purchaser may have against the manufacturer.

The above manufacturer’s warranty:

– is independent of any warranty that may be provided by the seller, for which he carries sole responsibility;
